Hi, my fellow public health girlies! As someone who's been in school for 10 years (Bachelors, Masters, and now Doctorate), participating in internships or fellowships was a great way for me to expand my skills and build my professional network. I love to encourage students to be intentional about choosing their desired internship - apply to internships at companies where you can genuinely see yourself working at full-time post-graduation. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, companies offer 72% of their interns full-time employment, with nearly 80% of those accepting those offers. These opportunities can also be a great way for you to earn a little income while in school (please note that not all internships offer pay). Nonetheless, if you'e interested in public health or a similar social science field, I've compiled a list of 10 internships/fellowships with deadlines, location, pay, and eligibility or requirements.
Cheers to a semester of opportunities, friends!
